About Josh

I am a licensed psychotherapist, educator, and consultant specializing in trauma, family estrangement, loneliness, and complex relationship dynamics. My work centers on helping people make sense of painful relational patterns and move toward greater clarity, connection, and peace.

In addition to my clinical practice, I teach college level courses and consult with other therapists seeking deeper training in communicating complex psychological concepts into accessible information. I am also the Lead Moderator for Estrangement.com, where I help support parents and adult children navigating long term family disconnection through education, facilitated dialogue, and community based learning.

I work closely with Matthias J. Barker and have been mentored through years of clinical collaboration, consultation, and teaching. My work has also been informed by collaborating alongside leaders in trauma therapy, including Frank Anderson.

I believe good therapy is not about quick fixes or surface level insight. It is about creating space to slow down, understand yourself more honestly, and build relationships that feel safer, more grounded, and more meaningful. Whether you are navigating estrangement, trauma, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or others, my goal is to help you move forward in a way that feels sustainable and true to who you are.
